Mrs. Fiordirosa

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Fiordirosa

Mrs. Fiordirosa

The 2017-18 school year marks my 19th year at River Trails Middle School.  The last seventeen of these years have been spent teaching 7th grade.  I started my career in a private school after graduating from Northeastern Illinois University.  Within a couple years, my husband and I started a family and I spent the next fourteen years at home raising our children.  Our children all attended District 26 schools and I am proud to be a teacher in this same wonderful district. When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and grown children, watching sports, cooking and being active in our church.

I provide additional academic support to 7th graders in all content areas as well as teach instructional level math classes.

In the Resource classroom, educational support is given to students with learning differences. Students work on individual goal areas, organizational skills, study skills, test taking strategies, and receive academic support as needed.

Expectations of students in 7th grade Resource

  • Students are expected to record all daily and long-term assignments into assignment notebook.
  • Students will work on specific goal areas as required/requested by the teacher.
  • Students are expected to use their time wisely and seek help as needed on difficult assignments.
  • Respectful behavior towards teachers and peers is expected at all times.
  • I am available most days before school for additional academic support, or after school if arrangements are made ahead of time. Make good decisions about coming in to get help!
